***The Sawyer County Sheriff's Office is currently seeking qualified applicants for both full-time and part-time Jail Deputies, as well as part-time Patrol Deputies and Dispatchers***

Part-time Patrol Deputies are paid $21.28 per hour, part-time Jail Deputies and Dispatchers are paid $18.38 per hour. Jail Deputies and Dispatchers are paid to attend certification training.  Full-time Jail Deputies and Dispatchers start at $20.86 per hour.

The pool of part-time employees is utilized to fill vacancies on an as-needed basis. There is no guarantee of hours. Part-time employees may qualify for Wisconsin Retirement contributions if they work 1,200 per year. No other benefits are associated with the part-time positions.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License, and have no felony or domestic abuse related convictions. Jailers must obtain Wisconsin State Jailer certification sponsored by employer. Dispatchers must attend a 40-hour training. Deputies must be law enforcement certified.
