Register of Deeds
Our Mission
- To provide and protect the integrity of the official county repository for Real Estate Records and Vital Records.
- To provide safe archival storage and convenient access to these public records.
- To implement statutory changes, system modernization, program and procedure evaluation and staff development to assure a high level of timely customer service.
Digitization Project
Sawyer County finished a major project with Fidlar Technologies by digitizing our documents back to March 1883. The images can be viewed online with a 6 digit document number.
We have over 75+ years of records indexed and searchable by Grantor/Grantee, legal description, document number or volume and page. All certified survey maps and plats are available via the web or may be viewed on the public terminals in our office.
Sign up to receive FREE Property Fraud Alert.
Property and Mortgage Fraud is the fastest growing white-collar crime. Someone records a fraudulent document in the Register of Deeds office making it look like they own your home or property.
Sawyer County Register of Deeds office has teamed up to create a notification service that will help you combat the effects of land fraud and other similar fraudulent activities.
It’s simple, just enter your personal and/or business name and you will be notified when a document is recorded with your name match.
